Scatter plot analysis

Simone Maurizio La Cava edited this page Apr 21, 2020 · 2 revisions

In the scatter plot analysis interface, you can visually determine if there is any difference in a scatter plot between the two groups of subjects in different measures and different spatial parameters.

As for the previous step, you have to select the data directory (if you did not setted it in previous steps), by inserting it manually in the text box or by search it through the search button.

Initially, you have to select the measures from the ones extracted (the toolbox will automatically recognize which are present in the main data folder).

After that, you have to select for each measure the frequency band (except for one-frequency-band measures such as Offset and Exponent) and the type of spatial analysis, between:

  • Areas, where you can analyze the macroareas (frontal area, temporal area, central area, occipital area and parietal area)
  • Total, where you can analyze the measure on the single locations
  • Asymmetry, where you can analyze the difference on the measure between the right cerebral hemisphere and the right one
  • Global, where you can analyze the overall measure

Finally, you have to select the location you want to analyze, depending on the spatial subdivision selected.

After that you can choose:

  • To RUN your analysis and show the resulting scatter plot on the toolbox

  • To Export it in an external figure, which you can save and modify

Before to start, you can always click on the logo button to open this page of the wiki on a web browser.

Now you can go on in computing other scatter plot analysis on your data, or go back to the analysis initial interface to select other types of analysis.
