Overview

With the release of Twodsix v4.16, Traveller sheets may now organizes skills into categories for easier organization. These categories (or "Groups") have no function other than change how skills are displayed on the Traveller sheet (e.g. groups can't be used as a skill or roll modifier). Skill Groups don't affect NPC, Animal or Robot Sheets. Here is a simple example.

In the above image, skills are organized into two, user defined categories: Social and Technical. The default categories (designated by the system) are used for when there is no skill group specified or when the skill is the special (i.e. Untrained skill). The JOAT skill is not given a category.

How to use

  1. Enable skill grouping in settings. Under Twodsix Settings -> Display Settings -> Actor there is a new setting to organize skills by group:

It is off by default.

  1. Enter a label for each skill on the Traveller sheet. There is a new field on each skill description call "Group Label". This field is a freeform string field where the user can enter any group label they want. The system will automatically group by labels that match exactly. Int the example below, the group label is "Technical". Note that there are no predefined labels. Each traveller may have their own unique grouping. If no label is entered, the skill is placed in the "No Group" group.

  1. Skills may be drag and dropped within a group (if that setting is used) but no between groups. To move a skill between groups the "Group Label" on the skill must be changed.
  2. Skill groups may be hidden/revealed by toggling the 'eye' icon.
