YA SM Posts Configuration

After the activation of Post post types at site settings, Simple Metadata will create Post Type options (a new metabox) in Page

Simple Metadata just offer properties from WordPress core fields. If you woud like to extend those properties, you must activate one of the Simple Metadata addons.

Settings - Post Type box

Post use the main class Article for the description of the Posts. It can be specified at Post Type box ussing the subclasses of Article:

• Article Activated by default
  • Advertiser Content Article
  • News Article (NO)
  • Report
  • Satirical Article
  • Scholartly Article (NO)
  • Social Media Posting
    • Blog Posting
      • Live Blog Posting
    • Discussion Forum Posting
  • Tech Article

Post properties

Article is the most generic type available and inherits properties from both parent types (Thing and CreativeWork).

The Post can be identified by a collection of 13 schema.org Properties.

No further configuration is necessary, all the properties find the values from WordPress.

PressBooks users

In PressBooks installations the new metabox is not available. PressBooks uses chapter class. Not changes are possible.
