YA SM Home Configuration
After the activation of the plugin, Simple Metadata will create Site Type options in settings > site.
Simple Metadata just offer properties from WordPress core fields. If you woud like to extend those properties, you must activate one of the Simple Metadata addons.
Site use Blog and WebSite class for the description of the Home page. The seleted class will define the default activate classes in public post types:

Blog Activated by default

WebSite
Blog and WebSite inherits properties from both parent types (Thing and CreativeWork).
The Site can be identified by a collection of 4 schema.org Properties.
No further configuration is necessary, all the properties find the values from WordPress.
In PressBooks installations the new metabox is not available. PressBooks uses book class. Not changes are possible.
