#2 Objectives
Before starting this project We decided to put us some objectives in order to get a project useful for people who wants to learn from zero and doesn't know how to start.
We want that this project will result in something useful. We want to develop a device usable IRL. In our case, the prototype should be capable of doing all the basic functions of a mobile phone.
- Set the PIN number.
- Call.
- Hang up.
- Send voice.
- Receive voice.
- Touch screen interface.
- Wireless.
The prototype should look for simplicity, we are not looking for a commercial smartphone with all their characteristics. The real objective is a customizable device, upgradable and with a educational purpose.
We want people to be able to build up this device and use it without specific technical skills, only using the construction scheme. For this reason we have tried using cheap, documented and easy to get documents.
We believe that recycling We can simplify the building process of the device. For that reason We have studied what components we can use in order to replace them for pieces of common home gadgets. In our case a powerbank or a cheap headset have helped to decrease the budget of the project and to simplify the building process.
