Historical Aerial Links

brez edited this page Nov 15, 2017 · 3 revisions

The vast majority of Historical Aerial Links will be uploaded in bulk. The following is documentation for the sake of editing existing records or adding new links individually.

The Historical Aerial Links table contains records of individual raster services of historical aerial imagery for each lake. It can contain a limitless number of historical aerial links with each being a new record in the table. If any records exist for a lake, they will be rendered in the bottom right corner of the map within the overlay slider bar represented by the year of the historical imagery.

All 3 fields Lake (chosen from dropdown), Year (the 4 digit year the imagery was photographed), and Link (URL of the historical aerial raster service) are required to add/edit a record to the Historical Aerial Links table.

Currently, Historical Imagery Services must be tiled ESRI services hosted in ArcServer or ArcGIS Online. We can change this in the future. Use the 'MapServer' tiled service opposed to a FeatureService. Example: https://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/r0GBst8Pgyny9qhA/arcgis/rest/services/1960/MapServer
