Spender

Spender is an application that enables a user to go through a number of steps grouped together in themes that we will refer to as phases. These phases are designed to enable a user to spend their money with confidence

In going through these phases a user commits to and takes a number of actions that resolve in a user planning for the utilization of their resources.

We have quite a few phases in the application but the important ones to know are the following.

Creation Phase

Users will create and populate MoneyLogs. They will be required to provide at least a name for their money log additional actions here will be to populate a wishlist for the MoneyLog in question.

Planning Phase

In this phase, a user will curate the resources they have by recording the amount of money they have available for a MoneyLog in addition to this the user will go through refining their MoneyLog which will constitute actions like setting the start and end date, dividing the MoneyLog into Sections, linking wishlist items to Sections thereby making them shopping items and a few more

Using Phase

In this phase, a user will now be acting on the plans made in the previous phases, this phase provides the functions expected in a traditional budget app where a user will be recording their expenses after they have occurred.

Review Phase

This phase runs in tandem with the Using phase, i.e it happens at the same time the Using Phase is happening. During this phase, a user will be able to analyze their expenditures in comparison to their plans. The information gained during this phase enables users to adjust and learn about what habits to maintain to keep achieving a certain standard
