Team Biography

Victoria Qian

Wanted to say THANK YOU to all the team members for making this project possible! My main role throughout this process is planning and coordinating to make sure that things are on track. I completed the Chinese basketball fan storyboard in staging post 2 and revised it into the first two scenes of our final wireframe. I also completed one of the branching plots in the VR experience to make the whole experience more fun and interactive. I also completed the personas and goal of the project part of the story development section for the final project. In order to make our prototype and trailer more interesting, I also did some voice recording and video shooting to be part of the prototype and trailer. Overall, I am also responsible for updating the team diary to record meetings and task assignments.

Karry Chen

First of all, all of us contributed a lot to the main plot of the story in our final project. I completed the script for two scenes in our main story. Then I added one plot branch for our story to make our VR experience have more interactivity and allow audiences to have some decision making. Moreover, I summarized all the suggestions we can improve based on the feedback from professors and our other team members, and finished the feedback and experience statement documents for our final project after discussing with other team members. I also collected some relevant resources such as short videos,pictures, and sounds to make our final product. In order to make our project seem more interesting and realistic, I did some voice acting and play testing for our final VR experience as well.

Ruijie Zhai

It has been a pleasure working with the group this semester! Everyone is doing great. On my part, I drew the locker room scene, the final basketball match scene, and one branch. For each of these, I collected the raw clips and pictures from the Internet, and wrote scripts of conversation. I also dubbed the basketball ending, and appeared in our trailer to explain the entire experience of our project. Besides, I designed our survey questions and conducted them on some friends, recording their ratings, and helped to incorporate them into our story. Our project title is also my idea, which I drew from a past NBA slogan; I also suggested how each branch works. In general, I was active in group discussions, providing ideas and suggestions, and worked together with my teammates.

Jim Chen

It’s been a long but productive semester! My name is Jim Chen and I dealt with technology problems in our project. I drew the HK girl storyboard, built and maintained the Github site, and did a lot of video editing, such as the prototype and the trailer. I will present the reasons that our VR experience should be built. I enjoyed the project, where I was able to create a story with my teammates and play with those fancy technologies!
