We would like to have the t-test tab as complete as possible by 1 Oct 2017. Here are a list of things that should be in the 1 Oct version. Not in order of importance except that items at the end of the list are less critical.
- log file
- keep extensibility always in mind
- save out graph or copy & paste
- build up multi-line graphs ("+")
- complete paired & independent t-tests. Make sure calculations are correct.
- remove unwanted graph components (e.g. red dot)
- line colors
- custom x and y axis titles
- number and arrangement of tic marks
- settable aspect ratio for graphs
- tab or accordion structure for options
- feasibility of detecting graph components for modification
- Talked about logos.
- Jeremy will get functions from Jeffrey. (done 4/10/2017)
- What about the 3rd graph (effect size vs precision)? Still needs to be discussed.
Slider locks- Display difference in means as one value, not two and calculate
- Next steps : sliders, other 2 graphs, calculated value on result tab
- Ideas (not TODOs) : graph options, help links, logos, resetting, saving, merging graphs, interactive graphs
- Jeremy showed off interface work
- Jeremy will probably change to angular from shiny for interface. R will continue to be the back end.
- Next steps will be to make some interface changes and get calculations and real graphs working.
- Next meeting April 3rd at 11:15 AM in Bill's office
- William Dupont, Jeff Blume, Jeremy Stephens, Dale Plummer
- Jeff made a sketch of interface proposal - interactivity, use of sliders, graphics by default emphasized
- It is important to have a functioning demonstration by July 1. Decided to be careful to prioritize features to avoid getting bogged down.
- Bill and Jeff will get us a list of their priorities
- Next meeting is 11AM 3/27/2017 in Bill's office
- Don't want to give up any functionality of the current PS program
