Contributing to the Wiki

We welcome contributions of every type to Saucedacity, even ones to the Wiki. You can contribute to any place of Saucedacity, whether it be code-wise, documentation-wise, or something else. If you decide to make your contribution documentation-wise (specifically to the Saucedacity Wiki), then there are a couple of things that you should know. (In that case, you are at the right page).

The first thing you should know is that anything you submit to the Wiki must be available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC By 4.0). This allows wiki pages to be copied and redistributed freely. You must do so with attribution, however. In addition, you cannot impose any sort of technological restrictions (DRM) on any of the Wiki's pages. You can read this page for more details and this page for the actual license itself.

The second and final thing you should know is to please write Wiki pages in 2nd or 3rd person and not in 1st person. The only exception is for User Pages, Discussion and Talk Pages, and Proposals.

That's about it. Basically, these pages are licensed under CC BY 4.0, and we strongly recommend you to write pages in 2nd and 3rd person rather than in 1st person, except for a couple of cases.

Note: It should be noted that the 2nd provision is a strong recommendation. You won't be punished for writing a page in 1st person, but the page will have to be written. The 1st provision, however, should (and hopefully will) be enforced as this regards licensing.
