IRC

• Can we disable registration requirement? introduces a bit of friction, historically introduced because of spam.
• Maybe bridge IRC with matrix "formally"
  • Ian will look into the details
• Different IRC server?
  • Probably as much friction as having to register.

What are we working on?

• Ian:
  • D&D app is tabled until I can dogfood it
  • Explored WebRTC
  • Working on an LD_PRELOAD library for using filesystems over capnp.
• Jacob -- not much
• Dan:
  • Published postgres stuff into a repo, maybe useful as a reference.
  • Played with Meteor a bit.
  • Not much time lately, want to tackle storage task when able.
• Kenton:
  • Slow progress on Let's Encrypt.

Misc

Etherpad

• We should update.
  • Apparently it has built-in video conferencing now?
• Has problems, but we also don't have a good WYSIWYG alternative.
• Maybe we should port libreoffice online.

Grant thing

• Ian -- Make sure Lyre knows it exists; he can act on it if he wants.
