Pydio Booster
Pydio Booster is a brand new tool that will put your Pydio under steroids! In this first version, it will contain:
- Out-of-the-box implementation of WebSockets, avoiding massive polling from all web and sync clients, and as such drastically reducing the load on your server
- Upload accelerator and Download accelerator for certain types of storages (currently FS and S3).
- Automatic trigger of master scheduler command, avoiding the need to configure a separate CRON command.
Pydio Booster is a separate binary that must be launched on your server, and configured accordingly to your pydio setup. It will be released in open source when Pydio 7 is stable, and documented to manually configure and launch it. The Pydio Enterprise package will ease this step by generating the proper configuration files for Pydio Booster and providing a monitoring panel directly in the Admin Dashboard.
During this beta program, we will limit the tests to the Pydio Enterprise users. If you are already paying customers, you are entitled to test the new Pydio Enterprise package plus Pydio Booster v1. If you are using the community version but you are interested to digg into the future, we are glad to offer a temporary license for Pydio Enterprise, for testing this new tool.
