The DCC_Adaptable digital filter is an attempt to have a customizable architecture for digital signal processing. The main purpose of this design is to reduce the microphonic noise generated my moving mechanical parts in radiation sensor setups.
The design has been written using VHDL and Verilog, and implemented on the Terasic's DE2i-150 FPGA Development Kit. For data acquisition we use the DCC AD/DA conversion card and finally the filter coefficients are re-loadable during run time via the PCIe link between the Atom processor and the FPGA.
