###1. Torchie functionality (holding volume buttons to turn on torch) is not working! Please check if the following steps help!

  • Check if Torchie Quick accessibility service is running, by looking at the status as shown below. If the toggle button next to Torchie functionality is red, then Torchie Quick is not running. You need to (re)enable 'Torchie Quick' Accessibility service

Check 'Torchie Quick' Accessibility Service is running

  • Check if Torchie functionality is on for particular screen state (i.e during screen on, screen off, lock screen) in Torchie Settings as shown

Check Torchie Settings

  • Touch big red button to check if Torchie supports your phone’s flash (i.e your hardware). If flash does not respond, please create an issue

Check Flash

  • If you are using Android 6.+ (Marshmallow or above) and trying to use in 'Screen Off' the functionality works weird! Pressing single volume button alternatively (Vol+ and then Vol- vice versa) will turn on/off torch. This happens, because Android changed the way how 'volume change' works in Android 6.0 or above 😢

  • For Samsung Touchwiz users- Torchie Quick Accessibility Service is killed by the system if Ultra Power Saving Mode is enabled. So, you should re-enable.

  • For Xiaomi MIUI users, Torchie Quick Accessibility Service is killed by the system if RAM is cleaned from Recent Apps. So, you should pin Torchie from being killed while clearing RAM.

  • Check if your phone supports pressing both volume buttons simultaneously.

  • If above fixes don't help, create an issue

###2. (For Android 4.0.3,4.1,4.2 users only) Flashlight turns on/off while I swipe to change volume? Yes. Flashlight may turn on/off when you swipe to change volume (in System volume panel/in some media players) for Android < 4.3 (Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean). A suitable tweak may be disabling Torchie functionality while screen on and enable for screen off and/or lock screen from Torchie Settings.
