What

Docs-only correction to paper/README.md found during an arXiv-readiness review of the paper package.

Three stale/incorrect statements fixed:

  1. Byline is set. README said the draft "deliberately carries no named byline" and listed "replace the contributor placeholder" as a submission blocker. The byline has been set since docs(paper): set author line (Richard Abrich, OpenAdapt / MLDSAI Inc.) #180 (Richard Abrich, OpenAdapt / MLDSAI Inc.). Updated the intro note and reworded the blocker to "confirm the final author list/order/ORCIDs/affiliations".
  2. Workshop bib is a copy, not a symlink. README's build note said the workshop "shares references.bib (via a symlink)". It was de-symlinked in fix(ci): unblock main — de-symlink workshop bib (sdist) + deterministic pixel font test #189 (a symlink member breaks the sdist packaging gate); check_artifacts.py now asserts the two bib files stay byte-identical. Corrected the note to match reality.

Verification

  • python paper/check_artifacts.py -> paper artifact constants: OK
  • make -C paper -> full report build/main.pdf (10 pages) + workshop workshop/build/main.pdf (6 pages), both clean, exit 0.

No LaTeX source, benchmark artifact, or headline number changed.

… not a symlink)

The paper byline is now set (Richard Abrich, OpenAdapt / MLDSAI Inc.), so the
README's "no named byline" note and "replace the contributor placeholder"
submission blocker were stale. Also corrects the build note: the workshop shares
references.bib via a byte-identical regular-file copy (de-symlinked in #189 so
the sdist packages cleanly and check_artifacts.py asserts they stay identical),
not a symlink as the README claimed. Docs-only; no LaTeX or benchmark change.
