Create a new Interconnect Request.

Remarks

This method initiates an Interconnect Request. Based on previous requests and the type of Network that the ECGridID2 resides on, an expert system will determine if the Interconnect can be immediately activated or if it requires confirmation by the Interconnected Network.

Any Interconnects that move to a Pending status will be monitored by ECGrid NetOps until completion. To monitor the status of an Interconnect Request use InterconnectInfo() and InterconnectNoteList().

If the requested Interconnect already exists on the system, a Duplicate SOAP Exception will be returned.

Interconnects are bidirectional – there is only one for each pair. You do not need to make this call twice for the same ECGridIDs in any order.
