Releases: Golem642/CtrRGBPAT2
Vnot_ abandoning_this
Hello, i know it's been a while since i have uploaded any progress or anything, and i'm sorry for that.
I just kind of lost the motivation to do it at some point, i don't even know why, my brain is cursed. I'm also working on other things in the background, and then ofc i have school.
But despite this, this project is still in the back of my head every day but i just don't know how to start it again.
I have some ideas, but not a proper way to put them on paper, or rather on code you could say.
So what i'm going to do is this : you can have the latest beta build of CtrRGBPAT2.
This build includes : support for custom low-battery LED. Yep, that's right. It's actually been a bit more than a year since i knew how to make it work.
However, since it's a beta build, i haven't made an actual menu thing to make it work, so here are the button combinations :
- Y to enter debug mode (indicated by the text at the top right of the screen)
While in debug mode :
- X to reset all patterns to default (will automatically install the file, so be careful with this as you will lose your currently installed custom patterns)
- The 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th menu entries are to set the low-battery LED since the low-battery sequence is composed of 4 parts (when you click on any of them, a 2 hex characters input will be shown). Input 55 everywhere to make it go back to normal blink.
To apply the custom low-battery pattern, use the "test pattern" menu entry (while still in debug mode).
More info on how to make your custom pattern here : https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/MCURTC:SetBatteryEmptyLEDPattern (i made this documentation page) - You can force the battery LED status with L and R, more info on the different values here : https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/MCUHWC:SetPowerLEDPattern
- When you test a pattern, a bunch of numbers will print. That's normal, and they will go away if you move up or down in the menu, or if you simply press B
I think that's all with this debug build. About the next release, i'll see what i will do. But please, do not hesitate to make a pull request if you have ideas, i will gladly review them.
Thank you for your understanding, and excuse me once again.
V2.3
Hey ! I'm not dead ! :D
Anyway here's what's new :
- I'm on the Universal updater ! Yipeeeeee !
- Fixed crash of force exit of the app (finally, i knew those std::strings were evil)
- Also you can now go back to the HOME menu again if you want
- Fixed a few visual glitches
- The unknown pattern is now known : it triggers when you boot your DS or you exit sleep mode (can make for some cool transitions)
The roadmap also has been updated with some ideas from Semka (thx)
I'm definitely not done with this yet, i still have a few things i want to implement but also i don't have the time. This is kind of like a fun project so please don't mind the unfrequent updates, thank you
Have fun ! :)
V2.2.1
Ok so this release mainly include bugfixes so everything should be working now. If not, refer to the warning in the previous release (V2.2)
But ! I also included a copy/paste function in the custom editor (it was definitely required)
So yeah, little improvement. Btw i still don't know what the Unknown LED pattern and the one that resemble the Friend notification are for, so if anyone can help me on the subject open an issue please
And talking about issues, if you ever get stuck on something : look up in the readme if it haven't been covered already, and if not make an issue about the problem
Anyway, have fun ! :)
V2.2
Warning
I detected an issue with this release, I'm going to send a fix asap.
If your console crashes on launch, DO NOT PANIC and simply delete the files at /luma/sysmodules/0004013000003502.ips
and /luma/titles/0004013000003502/code.ips
using GodMod9 (hold START on boot)
I deleted this release's files so no one else attempts to download it (not dangerous but i messed up)
CtrRGBPAT2 V2.2
Yep, you read that right. RobTop wasn't fast enough 😎
Anyway here's what's new :
- Added support for StreetPass and Friends notifications ! (finally)
- Also added support for two unknown/unused? notifications (no "low battery" support for now sorry)
- Added a custom pattern editor when "pattern for LED" is set to "custom" (then select "set custom notification pattern" in the menu)
- Rewrite of the way the patch is made (fixes some problems with the old one, no manipulation needed)
- Fixed a lot of bugs
The custom pattern editor is not really complete, i plan to add a copy/paste function because it can be pretty annoying to do everything manually
The save/restore feature is (probably) coming next, and i'm also gonna do researches on how can i modify the "low battery notification"
Have fun :)

CtrRGBPAT2 V2.1
Please use this release instead of the old one, your 3DS/2DS will be fine but people may be scared because of a crash on launch of your console with the patch enabled.
To remediate to this, erase the file at /luma/titles/0004013000003502/code.ips
and your console will be fine once again
OK so there are bugfixes in this release (notably the one cited above) and THE TOGGLE (yes it's here)
Full changelog :
- Colored UI ! (a bit)
- Little preview (on screen, may not be 100% accurate)
- Toggle on/off the patch
- Prevent users from going to the HOME menu (still haven't found a fix to handle closing properly)
- Bugfixes
Hope you enjoy :)
CtrRGBPAT2 is finally here !
This release will be labeled as v2 because the program is still mainly written by CPunch for the original CtrRGBPATTY project.
Anyway, here's what's new :
- More controls ! Smoothness and loop delay
- Noob-proofs parameters
- Bugfixes (a lot)
also new icon/banner/sound but not really important, i just wanted to try some stuff :)
This is not the final version ! There will be more in the future (look at the README.md
)
Hope you enjoy ! :)
