LegacySystem

The so called "LegacySystem" is one of the main entity systems used
for land and water vehicles in FVTM.

It is based on an old (maybe pretty pretty old by now) FlansMod branch.
It went through many edits, improvements, extensions and other.
By now it even is hardly recognizable as to be related to FM.

Among things getting pgraded and improved are:

  • more complex engines
  • more complex and advanced fuel system
  • trailers prototype
  • all the general fvtm hooks
  • general stability and syncronization

It seems the system got one bottleneck, which people constantly complain
on and prefer to play traitors and switch to another mod.

"It is, realistic physics."

This system does for one part it's job, gives to a degree driveable
vehicles into Mineacraft, but people desire other.
I for myself wouldn't mind better, but before we forget, I took
this system and upgraded, and improved it because I'm no physics
person, as such back in the days it was very unlikely for me to do
something completely from scratch.

It was decided that another system would come, that's why this one got called "Legacy System".
Update: The new one is now ready and is called the BasicSystem.


The legacy system has a separate config data compound in vehicles!
It's called LegacyData <- and on that page you'll find information
how to set it up. Mind you, a lot of the values are exactly as you'd
use them in Flansmod! But that's a plus!
