Characters

We are using the sprites from the Play Station version of the game, those can be found here.

Each character has its diferent personality and so its correspondent color palette. The level of detail in the game is pixel art, so the characters are an aproximation to the concept art images bellow. We didn't choose the main final fantasy charcaters to create our game but the ones that could give a nice impression and give the game a new look.

We have four main characters from which the player will choose. The camera sees the characters with a top-down perspective view, and remains this way all the game. The camera of each player follow its character.

White Mage

This character is a blonde blue eyed female wizard that wears a long white dress with red decorations. She seems to be the cute happy adventurer.

Maps

The map tilesets used the original game maps as references, they can be found in here. There are up to 125 different maps and different lands in the Final Fantasy world from the original game in this website. The map is divided in 4 distinct zones so players can recognize where in the map they are.

The perspective is top-down and the borders are made mostly of water (or it's equivalent depending on the tileset).
