a this is actually a library in the Zephyr.

Of the three options, I think a probably fits best, and in practice all of the CPEs in the NIST database for hostapd use this

I think the PURL is about right based on the "generic" examples in here: https://github.com/package-url/purl-spec/blob/master/PURL-TYPES.rst but happy to update if there are any better suggestions.
