It's probably not worth opening a PR for this. There is no way this gets merged until 2027, and keeping it up to date is going to be a VERY difficult task. |

Out of curiosity, why would this need to wait until 2027 specifically? |

Since this is such a major breaking change, we usually prefer to do those in years where there are other breaks. The new control system is going to be a big break anyway. |
