Using the Romi but don't have a joystick

Hi,
We are a relatively new robotics team Team 7718. We have struggled with the programming part. We currently are using Java. When we saw the romi--our team was excited to use this season to get our team trained in programming--we managed to get some Romi's but some team members might not have joysticks. How can they run their Romi's without joysticks? In the 2020 Hour of coding I saw them use the smart dashboard--is there a resource that can walk us through how to interrogate keyboard commands to run the romi? My issue with the programming besides not knowing how to program is I watch videos-- the templates and the video don't match up. Everyone has a different way of doing things so I can't deconstruct. I can't find Powerpoint for the hour of coding either. The blog has a circular link stystem [https://wpilib.org/blog/wpilib-on-firsttv-new-simulators]. Basically, I'm looking for instructions that matchup with a template so I can understand and ideas for no joysticks.
You guys are amazing and I'm excited to learn and pass this on to my teammates.

Hi! The Simulation GUI that pops up when you start your Romi program has some pre-configured Keyboard based joysticks. You can drag these to the Joysticks section in the GUI to enable them.

Yes, I saw this. Two questions. Do I have to enable in the driver station? A bit confused on the drag-drop--the simulator has numbers 0, 1, 2,3. What do the numbers tell the romi to do? Do I need to adjust this in the number settings?

Within the Romi reference program, we reference Joystick(0) -- This corresponds to Joystick[0] in the Sim GUI. Once that's done, you can click on Teleoperated in the the Robot State section (top left in your screenshot) to enable the Romi in teleop mode
