Note: recent upstream changes to capnp are causing certain tests to deadlock, and even occasionally encounter race conditions. It's likely these have existed all along, but are sufficiently rare that we haven't encountered them. These are high-priority items for the upstream dev team, and I expect these to be resolved within the next few working weeks. I personally think we can merge before then.
