Feature added

A feature has been added by request :
Now it is possible to automatically excute the closing command when a new tab is opened. This will help keep the tabs area clean without the need to execute the command from the palette or hit the shortcut keys every time.
To enable this feature set the configuration value "close_on_open_new" to true
By default it is false.
