W3C Federated Identity Working Group

This GitHub repository serves the W3C Federated Identity Working Group.

The FedID WG works together with the FedID CG (repo ) as described in the CG-WG process doc (draft).

  • FedCM Draft spec transferred from the FedIDCG August 2024. Issues against the specification and proposed fixes (pull requests) should be filed in this repo.
  • FPWD published 20 August, 2024

A recharter (proposed 13 August, 2024, approved February 2025) added the WICG Digital Credentials API to this WG's scope. By Consensus (April 2025), the WG added the DC API work item.

  • DC API (to be) transferred from WICG April 2025.
