Testing the changes

  • I tested the changes in this PR: briefly
    • harec test suite passes
    • hare test suite passes

Local build testing

  • I built this PR locally for my native architecture, (x86_64-glibc)
  • I built this PR locally for these architectures (if supported. mark crossbuilds):
    • aarch64 (cross)
    • aarch64-musl (cross)
    • riscv64 (cross)
    • riscv64-musl (cross)

hare and harec dependent on the qbe and they also state that they specifically tested on 1.2 version. Since 1.3 doesn't include any breaking change and their test suite does well on 1.3, there should be no problem.

This version is relatively new, released today. Even if they decided long time ago to make a release. But I think more testing is needed before update. Maybe hare and harec release new versions for 1.3 or make clear that currrent releases will work fine with new qbe version.

Should I rebase to make sure there is no conflict exist? Seems unnecessarily complex when I see changes.

Seems like they will not tag a bugfix release. I applied patch directly. I can't test riscv64. Sorry for waiting this long.
