The stack has 4 parts:
- Generator: Tilemaker with Shortbread
- Server: serves tiles
- Network: CDN/load balancer/nginx/Let's Encrypt, ...
- Frontend: contains MapLibre, styles, symbols, fonts, ...
The core tool is also called VersaTiles, is written in Rust, handles tile conversion and includes a full server. We also provide Docker containers. You can download all tiles for free. More information can be found in the documentation and in the compendium.
