Skyhook programmable storage enables data management for elastic databases in the cloud. It is based upon the Ceph distributed object storage system, which has its origins at UC Santa Cruz. This project is funded by the Center for Research on Open Source Software at the University of California, Santa Cruz with support from its industry sponsors: Micron, SK Hynix, Toshiba, Western Digital, Seagate, Huawei, and Samsung.
