MyLA supports keyboard navigation on all of its pages; however keyboard navigation is not supported by default in macOS on web browsers that aren't based on chromium (Safari and Firefox). Users of Chrome or other chromium based browsers (Edge, Opera, etc.) do not have to follow these steps as they support keyboard navigation natively.
Follow these steps to enable support for keyboard navigation on Safari or Firefox in macOS:
- Press the button in the top left corner of the screen.
- Click on 'System Preferences...'.
- Click on 'Keyboard'.
- In the navigation bar click on the 'Shortcuts' tab.
-
- macOS Catalina Users: Check the 'Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls' checkbox.
- Pre macOS Catalina Users: Press the 'All controls' radio button.
NOTE: Safari users will have to follow the steps below to fully enable keyboard navigation in MyLA (SAFARI USERS ONLY).
- Click on 'Safari' in the macOS menubar.
- Click on 'Preferences...'.
- In the navigation bar click on the 'Advanced' tab.
- Check the 'Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage' checkbox.
Users should have the ability to navigate MyLA pages with their keyboards after following these steps.
