A dynamic Tidbyt application that displays the latest executive orders from the Federal Register with an animated patriotic theme.

Features

  • Live Federal Register Integration - Fetches executive orders directly from the official Federal Register API
  • Animated Patriotic Display - Continuously scrolling red, white, and blue lines that frame the content
  • Smart Randomization - Configurable selection from the most recent 1, 5, 10, or 25 executive orders
  • Dynamic Date Display - Shows the signing date (or publication date) of each specific executive order
  • Customizable Appearance - Choose from multiple text colors and scroll speeds
  • Responsive Caching - 1-hour cache to optimize API usage while staying current

Configuration Options

  • Order Selection: Choose between latest only or randomize from recent orders (default: random from last 5)
  • Text Color: White, Blue, Green, Red, or Yellow (default: White)
  • Scroll Speed: Slow, Medium, or Fast animation (default: Medium)

Display Layout

  • Executive Order header (centered at top)
  • Animated patriotic separator line
  • Horizontally scrolling executive order title
  • Second animated patriotic separator line
  • Executive order date (centered at bottom)
  • Clean 1-pixel border frame
