The easiest way to install Xcode, is to get it from your OSX DVDs. If you don't have your OSX DVDs then you have to download Xcode which requires an approximately 1 GB download. To install Xcode, follow the instructions below:

1. Once you become an ADC member, you need to find out what version of OSX you have. To figure out the version you have, click on the little Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen then click on "About this Mac". You should then see the version. 1. To download Xcode, go [http://connect.apple.com here]. Enter your ADC user name and password and click "Login". Click "Downloads" on the resulting screen. On the right hand side, click the "Developer Tools" link. You need to find the version of Xcode that is compatible with your version of OSX. Find the version of Xcode you need using the table below. Do not download the wrong version - it will not install. For example, if your version of OSX is 10.5.2 then you need Xcode version 3.1.4. Once the download has completed, install Xcode and you're all set.
