Kiwings-1.0-beta4

This release provides some quality improvements:

• The application popup will now show if the application is manually launched by the user and will remain hidden if launched at login by the system.
• Browser detection fixes. This fixes the issue of showing apps that are not web browsers but were somehow showing up in the browser strip. Also, default browser is now shown earlier in the browsers strip.

All put, the only improvements pending are related to automatic building and bundling of kiwix-tools on macOS and automatic release generation. The program is now stabilised enough to be usable for the general audience.

I've cleaned up most of the code. The bugs and features identified for a proper usable product are completed. But one must always test.
Screenshots remain to be updated on the README for now. Rest assured, the following improvements have landed:

• Random port selection
• select all/none checkbox in table header

Kiwings-1.0-beta2

This release fixes a sudden UI issue experienced in macOS 12.3+ using a fancy workaround. KiWings is gearing up nicely for general purpose use, though quite slowly.

Kiwings-1.0-beta1

KiWings is still a beta project. This beta release fixes some crashes. I imagine there are still some issues left to iron out, so I'll see what can be done about that.

Tested working with Big Sur 11.3+. The program works just fine on macOS 12 as well.
