Oh My Zsh

ohmyzsh
Portland, OR

Oh My Zsh is an open source, community-driven framework for managing your zsh configuration.

Sounds boring. Let's try again.

Oh My Zsh will not make you a 🔟 ❎ developer...but you may feel like one. 🚀

Once installed, your terminal shell will become the talk of the town or your money back! With each keystroke in your command prompt, you'll take advantage of the hundreds of powerful plugins and beautiful themes. Strangers will come up to you in cafés and ask you, "that is amazing! are you some sort of genius?"

Finally, you'll begin to get the sort of attention that you have always felt you deserved. ...or maybe you'll use the time that you're saving to start flossing more often. 😬

Oh My Zsh is maintained by a few people who volunteer time to review code contributions, triage bug fixes, performance improvements, answer questions on Discord and Github Discussions, and help keep this thing moving forward.

We don't (currently) have any specific financial goals...but to be honest, we're curious about it.

Robby (the creator of Oh My Zsh) runs a software development consultancy and has been peddling ohmyzsh shirts, stickers, coffee mugs, etc...for a number of years. It's fun to see photos of those in the wild. It doesn't really come close to making money for the project, itself. (it does however, pay for a few hours/week for an office admin to handle the shipping logistics...so yay, we're quasi-job creators!?)

With that, we are exploring sponsorship tiers for individuals and organizations/teams that are using Oh My Zsh on a daily basis and/or if you just want to make a one-time contribution, we'd appreciate it.

We're also available to sponsor via OpenCollective.

@ohmyzsh

We've had over 2,000 individuals contribute to the Oh My Zsh source code. Can we get more to sponsor the project as we head toward 2023?
