Background and Overview

SignSetta is an application designed to help people learn how to use sign language. User will be able to take classes and use flashcards to learn sign language and test themselves on various signs before moving onto more difficult and specific topics in language.

How does SignSetta work?

Users of SignSetta will be able to browse the categories of various sign language flashcard decks. Logged in users will be able to take lessons, in which those users will learn new signs through looking at flashcards and being tested on them. Lessons will be in different tiers based on difficulty and how essential they are to learning sign language. As an example, the alphabet would be in the beginner tier. Once a user completes the lessons in the beginner tier they would be able to move to the next tier, where they can learn more specific types of signs that are more difficult, such as learning common phrases like "where is the restroom?" Users will be able to see their progress through the tier system and will also be able to see other users' progress.

Anyone! SignSetta is designed to be friendly towards users of all ages. Anyone who wants to learn SignSetta will be able to start learning signs within minutes of first booting up the app.
