  • Books should be very scattered, but with some clues helping the player to find them (found in ruins, on some mountain tops…).
  • Build a big texts database, with very various texts. We can write some things like funny stories, or copy old texts that are in public domain.
  • Use an online repository to store a big number of texts? Of course, there should still be some texts in the game to allow playing offline. Not sure it's possible with current MT engine.
  • Books may contain images, with very low resolution for both pixel style and small size.
  • Interesting books – which speaks about the game – will be less common in village bookshelves than the others.
    • Many contain craft recipes, for example for potions
    • Some of them deal with the world's destiny, or the underworld…
    • A little say wrong things, so that the player should read them carefully.
  • Useless books: sometiles off-the-wall
    • Extracts from famous theatre plays or novels
    • Poems
    • Jokes
    • Cooking recipes (that may work in the game!)
    • Completely random letters, or other stupid things
    • if we allow images: fictive ads, herbarium, drawings, sheet musics…

This is what I would like to see in an ideal world. I know this would be a huge work.
