A/V Decision Tree

Big Brother Console

Audio Gone: Notify Mike or Tom via Radio

Video Gone:

1. Right-click -> Play
2. If video is still gone, right-click -> Quit

2.1. Ping Camera

2.1.1. If no response:

1. Wait and ping again in 20 seconds
2. If no response, roll to room, check camera, and alert senior tech

2.1.2. If there’s a response, but no video:

1. RESET ALL with Windows-Shift-E
2. Login as monitor/monitor
3. Reorganize windows by using Windows-Shift-[Arrow keys]
4. Use Windows-H on the first window you move to the bottom row (This allows for horizontal splitting).

Projector Issues

No picture/dark:

1. Make sure the projector is physically turned on.
2. Still no picture/dark, alert senior tech.

Screen is Black:

1. Make sure slide computer is awake.
2. Screen is still black, alert senior tech.

Screen is Blue:

1. Speaker laptop is not connected or is on the wrong resolution (res should be 1024x768).
2. Screen is still blue, alert senior tech.

(If there’s no speaker in the room, switch KVM to slides)

Chromium

Hung: Kill chromium, remove .config/chromium and restart
