What's the rationale with the lecture definitions deviating from the standard mathematical definition (from what I understand)? Also the current example given in sentence before (addCurry) would no longer be a HOF by the new, lecture, definition

I wouldn't be able to tell you why the lecture definition deviates from the general one, only that it's the definition I've heard and been using since I was a student bc that's what I was taught

my only concern is 150 students coming to SML help to learn about HOFs and then seeing a conflict between whats in lecture/lab and whats on this website. do we want this to be a resource based on 150 specific ideas, or do we want it to be more general?
