rust-lang/rust#78549 is currently blocking build with latest nightly. Even though this issue is getting fixed, the above fix circumvents it and should make builds work again.

rust-lang/rust#78549 is currently blocking build with latest nightly. Even though that issue is getting fixed, this PR circumvents it and makes builds work again.
This fixes rust-lang/rust#78341 and should allow #4503 and others to proceed.
