Permission Providers

Emmanuel Lampe edited this page Jun 23, 2023 · 1 revision

This page provides information about the permission providers supported by FairyChat, a next-generation chat plugin for managing your server's chat. Permission providers are integral to the functioning of FairyChat as they determine the permissions for different user groups and dictate what actions users are allowed to perform.

Supported Permission Providers

As of the latest update, FairyChat supports the following permission provider:

  • LuckPerms: LuckPerms is a permissions plugin for Minecraft servers. It is flexible, powerful, and easy to use, making it a popular choice for server administrators. FairyChat uses LuckPerms to manage permissions and user groups.

To use LuckPerms with FairyChat, you need to install the LuckPerms plugin on your server and configure it according to your needs. Once installed, FairyChat will automatically detect it and use it as the permission provider.

Adding More Permission Providers

As of the time of writing, FairyChat does not support adding additional permission providers beyond the ones already supported. However, the development team is always open to suggestions and might add support for additional permission providers in the future based on user feedback and demand.

If you want to request the addition of a new permission provider, it's recommended to reach out to the development team directly. This can typically be done through the project's GitHub page, or through any community spaces associated with the project.
