+    A man comes into town to start an apple orchard, which grows to become incredibly successful. This town has a gangster group who seek to take over this business and its profits. They kill the man and then a boy who worked at the orchard and witnessed the murder. They manage to gain control of the orchard, and seek to maximize profit to the extent that they will let none of the apple go to waste. So in addition to apple sauce, apple juice, and the other usual products, they utilize the seeds to make an apple seed butter. unbeknownst to the gangsters, this a high enough cyanide to kill a person with sufficient volume. The gangsters host a grand reopening fair for the orchard, which the whole town attends. Being smaller, the children all ingest enough of the poisonous butter to kill them. Worried about the attention that will soon come to them, they move the bodies of the man and the orchard boy out of town.
