This quarter, we're doing a mentorship focusing on UX research on Prometheus and OTel's resource attributes. As part of the UX research, @nwanduka is conducting both Quantitative and Qualitative research.

For both, we need help recruiting people to respond to our surveys. One great idea was to use the Prometheus website! We could have a banner at the top of all pages (that is closable) to announce the survey and include the Google Form link.

To illustrate the idea:

Done by myself in Paint 😝

The text itself is not important, but we should be able to include links in it. When implementing the component, we can discuss color and height.

The form itself is not ready yet. So, what's essential in this contribution is creating a component that can be easily added and removed as needed.

@ArthurSens how we are intending to update this banner and their links? via cms or code?

What does cms means? 😬

Content Management System. It allows non developers to make changes in the website

Ah no, we don't have anything like that. The website's content lives in this repo alongside the frontend code
