3. Settings
Phoenix can automatically fill game metadata for you when you add a new game. You can enable/disable that behaviour here.
Games for some platforms (such as native Mac games) can have their icons automatically imported. You can enable/disable that behaviour here.
Whether you want the UI components in Phoenix to match your computer's accent color.
Whether you want the UI components to have a gradient or a solid color.
Whether you want to see your rating of the game in star format or as a floating point number in the game info.
By default, the header image has a nice gradient effect that makes it seamlessly fade into the rest of the UI. If you don't like this, you can turn it off here.
If you don't want to see screenshots below game descriptions, you can turn them off here.
You can use this setting to make the screenshots below game descriptions larger/smaller.
You can use this setting to enable a fade effect for the left side of the screenshot list that matches the one on the right.
Whether you want to see game icons in the game list.
The size of the icons to be in the game list.
Whether you want to see the number of games in each category in the game list.
Whether you want the add game button to be at the bottom of the game list rather than in the toolbar.
Whether you want the icon in the sorting method dropdown to animate when you change the sorting method.
Whether you want to display the name of the current sorting method in the dropdown.
List of hidden games. Use a game's "Show game" button to put it back in the game list. You can also press the trash button to delete it permanently.
List of platforms / stores that your games may be from, along with settings for automatically generating launcher commands.
The name of the platform. Displayed in the sidebar when games are being sorted by platform.
The icon associated with the platform.
The file extension for this platform's games. For example, native Mac apps have the app
extension, while a Nintendo Switch game may have the nsp
extension.
The directories that Phoenix should scan for games for this platform. For example, I might keep my Wii games in /Users/username/Documents/Gaming/ROMs/Wii

The format of a launcher command for this platform.
To make working with emulators more convenient, we include some settings specific for platforms that use emulators to work.
Indicates whether this platform uses emulator-specific settings.
The emulator application. For example, I may emulate PSX games with DuckStation, so I would select DuckStation.app
for this setting.
Custom arguments to add to the end of the command for games. For example, many emulators support the --fullscreen
argument to launch game in fullscreen.
