Non-author check (parent session; the diff is a 6-line script change, reviewed by reading it): release.sh now refuses unless package.json already carries the version, tags that commit, publishes the packed tarball, pushes only the tag. CI green on both platforms. Merging. |

release.sh no longer commits+pushes a bump to main; it requires package.json to already carry (bumped in a reviewed PR), tags that commit, publishes the packed tarball, pushes the tag, then smoke-installs from the registry. package.json is already at 0.1.0 for the first release.
