Account Names

These rules apply to Peerplays accounts created using Bookie or the Peerplays wallet. The rules are enforced by the blockchain with some validation at the UI level.

Account Names

An account name must meet the following criteria:

• must be at least 1 character in length
• cannot be longer than 63 characters
• cannot start with a '-'
• must start with a lower-case letter
• must end with a lower-case letter
• may contain only lower-case letters, numbers and the '-'
• cannot end with "-dividend-distribution"

Non-Premium Names

Some account names are considered premium and require an additional fee to create. For an account to be considered non-premium, it must meet the above criteria, plus:

• it must contain only consonants or
• if it has a vowel, it must also have a number or '-'.
