Full details: No-Weak-Crypto

Explanation

The diff changes only the osac-operator dependency version and its checksums. The checked-out osac-operator source has no matching weak-crypto implementation, but the v0.0.18 module source is not present in the checkout or module cache, so its contents cannot be verified.

Full details: No-Sensitive-Data-In-Logs

Explanation

The PR changes only module requirements and a checksum; it adds no logging statements. However, the updated operator is used by the bare-metal fulfillment operator through its pkg/aap and pkg/provisioning packages. The v0.0.18 module source is not available in the checkout or local module cache, so the evidence does not show whether the dependency update added logging that exposes sensitive data.

Resolution

Inspect the source diff between osac-operator v0.0.14 and v0.0.18, including logging in packages consumed by the bare-metal fulfillment operator. Then determine whether any new or changed log output can contain passwords, tokens, API keys, PII, session IDs, internal hostnames, or customer data.

Full details: Ai-Attribution

Explanation

The pull request description is truncated, so it is not possible to determine whether the omitted text mentions AI tool use. The reviewed commit has only a Signed-off-by trailer; it has no Assisted-by, Generated-by, or Co-Authored-By trailer. The visible text is not enough to decide whether attribution is required.

site:goreleaser.com/customization/sbom GoReleaser v2 sboms default generate SBOM artifacts

💡 Result:

Yes. The current GoReleaser SBOM documentation says the default configuration generates an SBOM **for each archive** in `dist`, using **Syft**. The default filename is the archive’s name with `.sbom.json` appended. ([goreleaser.com](https://www.goreleaser.com/customization/sbom/?utm_source=openai))

That matches GoReleaser’s v2 release-download instructions, which show an archive SBOM alongside the release artifacts. The documentation page is current, but it doesn’t specify a particular v2 version, so exact behavior in older v2 releases is not established here. ([goreleaser.com](https://goreleaser.com/getting-started/install/oss/?utm_source=openai))

🌐 Web query:

site:goreleaser.com v2.18.0 provenance attestation build provenance GitHub release default

💡 Result:

**No—GoReleaser v2.18.0 does not establish that GitHub build-provenance attestations are created by default.** Its release notes don’t list provenance attestation as a feature. ([github.com](https://github.com/goreleaser/goreleaser/releases?utm_source=openai))

The GoReleaser attestations guide instead shows adding GitHub’s `actions/attest` step to the release workflow, with `id-token: write` and `attestations: write` permissions. That indicates attestation is an explicit workflow step, not an automatic default of GoReleaser. ([goreleaser.com](https://www.goreleaser.com/customization/publish/attestations/?utm_source=openai))

**Version caveat:** the attestation guide is current documentation, not a version-pinned v2.18.0 page, so it doesn’t conclusively establish the exact behavior of that release. The v2.18.0 release notes alone leave that version-specific detail unresolved.

🌐 Web query:

GoReleaser v2.18.0 documentation source attestations provenance GitHub actions attest default site:github.com/goreleaser/goreleaser

💡 Result:

GoReleaser’s current **Attestations** documentation recommends adding `actions/attest@v4` after GoReleaser runs, with `id-token: write` and `attestations: write` permissions. It shows attesting `./dist/checksums.txt` (and optionally `./dist/digests.txt`) via `subject-checksums`, then verifying with `gh attestation verify`. ([goreleaser.com](https://www.goreleaser.com/customization/publish/attestations/))

**Version caveat:** that documentation is current, not pinned to GoReleaser v2.18.0. The v2.18.0 release notes don’t establish that this attestation guidance was included in that version. The closest version-specific source I found is its release workflow; it shows verification of attestations, but does not establish the current documentation’s recommended `actions/attest` setup. Add a provenance attestation to the fulfillment-service binary release.

The release job signs its binaries, but it does not create GitHub provenance attestations. Add attestations: write and a pinned actions/attest step after GoReleaser.

❌ E2E BMaaS Full Install -- AI Diagnosis | Category: INFRA

The OSAC installation timed out during the CI setup because the osac-aap-bootstrap initialization job failed to sync the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) project. AAP could not fetch the PR's commit (55e8f203666fb398fdf4f938ad749a25829b63bd) because the CI test pipeline hardcoded the upstream repository URL (https://github.com/osac-project/osac), preventing it from finding commits that exist only in a contributor's fork or as unmerged pull refs.

To see the full run, check the workflow run.

**Causal chain**
  • The GitHub Actions pipeline ran helm upgrade --install osac and passed the PR's commit SHA to be used as the AAP project branch, while hardcoding the upstream git repository URL.
  • Helm created the osac-aap-bootstrap job to configure AAP.
  • Inside AAP, the project sync task executed git checkout --force 55e8f203666fb398fdf4f938ad749a25829b63bd.
  • Because the commit was not fetched from the upstream repo (as it originates from a PR or fork), the git checkout failed with fatal: unable to read tree.
  • The osac-aap-bootstrap job subsequently crashed and failed to complete.
  • Helm exhausted its 40-minute timeout waiting for all resources (including the bootstrap job) to become ready.
**Evidence**

❌ E2E CaaS Full Install -- AI Diagnosis | Category: INFRA

The CI workflow incorrectly passed the pull request's specific commit hash to the OSAC Helm chart as the AAP Configuration-as-Code Git branch, which caused AAP's internal Project Update job to fail during git checkout because the commit is not directly fetchable from the upstream repository's default refs, leading to a Helm timeout.

To see the full run, check the workflow run.

**Causal chain**
  • The GitHub Actions Install OSAC step ran a helm upgrade --install command, injecting CI parameters that set the AAP Config-as-Code branch to the PR commit hash 55e8f203666fb398fdf4f938ad749a25829b63bd.
  • As a post-install step, the Helm chart spawned an AAP bootstrap pod which executed Ansible playbooks to configure the AAP controller with the specified Git project settings.
  • Creating the project within AAP automatically triggered an AAP Project Update job to clone the repository.
  • The AAP Project Update job failed because it could not perform a git checkout of the commit hash from the upstream remote repository (fatal: unable to read tree).
  • The AAP bootstrap playbook detected the project update failure and aborted, ultimately causing the Helm installation to time out after 40 minutes while waiting for the post-install condition.

❌ E2E VMaaS Full Install -- AI Diagnosis | Category: OSAC_AAP

The deployment timed out because the AAP project configuration failed to fetch the PR's source code. The CI job passed a specific commit SHA (55e8f203666fb398fdf4f938ad749a25829b63bd) as the branch name to the Helm chart, but because the AAP project was created without a Git refspec ("scm_refspec": ""), AAP's underlying git clone only fetched standard branches and tags. As a result, AAP's project update job failed with a fatal: unable to read tree error when attempting to check out the missing PR commit.

To see the full run, check the workflow run.

**Causal chain**
  • The GitHub Actions CI runner executed make install-osac, which ran a helm upgrade --install command passing the PR's commit SHA as aap.configAsCode.projectGitBranch and hardcoding the URI to the upstream repository (https://github.com/osac-project/osac).
  • The Helm chart deployed the osac-aap-bootstrap job, which configured an AAP Project using these exact parameters but with an empty Git refspec.
  • AAP's internal project_update job automatically triggered to sync the source tree, but failed because git fetch does not retrieve PR commits (refs/pull/*) by default, leading to an unable to read tree checkout error.
  • Because the AAP project sync continually failed, the osac-aap-bootstrap pod repeatedly errored and retried without ever succeeding.
  • The persistent job failure caused the overall helm upgrade --wait condition to never be met, resulting in the CI job failing with timed out waiting for the condition after 40 minutes.
**Evidence**
