The Proposal: -
NITI Aayog has taken this concept forward to develop urban areas as Growth Hubs (G-HUBs).

प्रस्तावना:-
नीति आयोगाने शहर-क्षेत्रांना 'ग्रोथ हब' (G-HUB) म्हणून विकसित करण्यासाठी ही संकल्पना पुढे
आणली आहे. G-HUB नावाच्या या संकल्पनेद्वारे देशभरातील निवडक क्षेत्रांसाठी आर्थिक वाढीचे धोरण
तयार करुन त्या धोरणाच्या अंमलबजावणीसाठी रोडमॅप तयार करण्यात येत आहे. सुरुवातीच्या टप्प्यात
प्रायोगिक तत्तवावर मुंबई महानगर प्रदेश क्षेत्र (महाराष्ट्र), सुरत (गुजरात), विशाखापट्टणम (५७५॥॥५ प्रदेश) आणि
वाराणसी (उत्तर प्रदेश) या ४ शहरी क्षेत्रात ही संकल्पना राबविण्याचे निश्चित केले आहे. यामध्ये मुंबई
महानगर प्रदेश क्षेत्र (महाराष्ट्र) ची पायलट सिटी-रिजन म्हणून निवड करण्यात आली आहे.
मुंबई महानगर प्रदेश आर्थिक बृहत् आराखड्याच्या अंमलबजावणीसाठी राज्य शासन स्तरावर
स्थापन करण्यात आलेली वाचा येथील सुकाणू समिती रद्द करुन ग्रोथ हब समन्वय समिती स्थापन करण्याची
बाब शासनाच्या विचाराधीन होती.
शासन निर्णय:-
राज्याच्या आर्थिक विकासाला चालना देणाऱ्या शिफारशींच्या जलद अंमलबजावणीवर देखरेख
करण्यासाठी, परदेशी गुंतवणूक आकर्षित करण्यासाठी आणि टिकवून ठेवण्यासाठी, स्टार्टअप व रोजगार
क्षमतेला चालना देण्यासाठी मुंबई महानगर प्रदेश आर्थिक बृहत् आराखडा- ग्रोथ हब तयार करण्यात येत
आहे.
२. मुंबई महानगर प्रदेश आर्थिक बृहत् आराखड्याचा आढावा घेण्यासाठी मुख्य सचिव यांच्या
अध्यक्षतेखाली खालीलप्रमाणे 'ग्रोथ हब समन्वय समिती' स्थापन करण्यात येत आहे.
