Seems legit, I'd just like to hear out from someone with a newer firmware confirming that it's working as expected.

There is something that I do not get, though, self.scaling_aux is always set to True with END_BYTE_ACCEL and to False with END_BYTE_AUX? The scaling should be consistant with the scale_accel flag during init, no?
