👷 Work

I'm currently working on integrating AI in observability products, with particular focus on LLM evaluation and benchmarks.

  • 💻 Current languages, sorted by proficiency DESC: .py, .go, .ts, .rs
  • ⚒️ Current topics: AI workflows, LLM evaluation

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Life

I'm currently reading Jupiter's Travels by Ted Simon and Build a Large Language Model by Sebastian Raschka. I've spent several hours reordering my bookshelf, organizing 300+ volumes and syncing my Goodreads account.

In a moment in history where the free press is particularly fucked up, I'm currently supporting independent journalists:

  • 404 Media for all the things about technology investigations and reports
  • Ed Zitron for a perspective on AI that's grounded in numbers and facts
  • Domani is one of the last remaining newspapers in Italy with actual journalists making journalism Plus a bunch of other newsletters and small independent onliner newspapers I support occasionally.

After removing all social media apps from my phone, I've spent some time rebuilding my attention span and I went back to some reading and writing on Bluesky, it has its problems but it's an ok platform for now. Still fuck LinkedIn, I've removed all my personal data and set it up to forward messages to my email. I still have to use it for work when I hire people, and for the occasional public shaming of screenshots from dumb AI influencers.

Recently enjoying taking care of the green surroundings of my house, I've bought two chainsaws of different sizes to trim trees and bushes accordingly. I learned that mistakes can cost you years when dealing with trees, it makes you think and put things in perspective.

I keep practicing guitar and studying music, my gear still consists of a Seagull S60 acoustic guitar, an Acus One Forstrings 5T amplifier and a travel guitar, a Crafter Mino.
