Upgrading Dark Exchange

If you already have a version of Dark Exchange installed and you want to update to a newer version, you can use the following steps.

First, download the new version of Dark Exchange from the download page: https://github.com/macourtney/Dark-Exchange/downloads

The file you want to do download is the tar file under the Download Packages section of the page. If there is more than one tar file to download, use the one with the highest version number.

After downloading, untar the file in a directory on your computer. It should not overwrite the install directory of your original install. The new Dark Exchange directory will be called something like darkexchange- where is the new version number for Dark Exchange.

After you've created the new directory, you need to copy the data directory from the old version. You can copy (or move) the data directory from the directory where the older version was installed in to the directory you just created by untaring the downloaded tar file.

You're now done. When you start the new version of Dark Exchange, all of your old identities and offers should now be visible.
