Setup

Overview

Install Minecraft Java from the launcher and run it atleast once.
Download the fabric installer.
To run it you must have java installed on your pc as well, use this (install jdk 18)
After that, you can run the fabric installer and install fabric loader for your Minecraft.
Now reopen the Minecraft launcher and now you should see fabric loader in the installed versions list which should be right before the play button, select it if not selected.

Note that in addition to the loader, you will also need the fabric api mod to run mods.

Download the mod manager.
Extract it anywhere you want, the Downloads folder should be fine.
To run the launcher use the run-on-windows.bat or run-on-unix file according to your os type. (It also requires java to be installed)
After opening the manager, navigate to the Profiles panel and select the Edit Current Profile button, this will open up dialogues asking you the location of the minecraft folder and the Minecraft version that you want the mods for.
- Make sure to select the version that selected while installing fabric loader, by default it should be 1.19 for both the manager and the fabric loader.
- The folder location should be the same for everyone if you haven't changed the default settings in the launcher and should be detected by the manager but you can verify it by using the Open Directory and see if it opens the correct folder.
Navigate to the Mods panel and install the mods. You can also install nvda controller dll from the Install Nvda Dll button.
